A law firm is seeking a talented Mid-Level Corporate Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience to join its team in Redwood City, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate and transactional matters, with a focus on seed and venture capital transactions, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and securities offerings. Experience or interest in working with life sciences companies is highly desirable.

Duties:

  • Handle a broad range of corporate and transactional matters, including but not limited to seed and venture capital transactions, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and private and public offerings of securities.
  • Conduct due diligence, draft and negotiate transaction documents, and provide strategic advice to clients.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and manage substantial components of transactions independently.
  • Provide legal support and guidance to clients on various corporate matters.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in corporate law, with a focus on transactional matters.
  • Strong background in seed and venture capital transactions, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and securities offerings.
  • Experience working with life sciences companies is preferred, but candidates with a keen interest in life sciences work will also be considered.
  • Excellent academic credentials from a reputable law school.
  • Comparable law firm experience is highly desirable.
  • Admission to the California State Bar or eligibility for admission by waiver.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California State Bar or eligibility for admission by waiver.

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
