A law firm is currently seeking a Healthcare/Life Sciences Regulatory Associate Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will be crucial in ensuring regulatory compliance within the Healthcare and Life Sciences sector. The position is based in Pine Brook, NJ.

Job Overview:

The Healthcare/Life Sciences Regulatory Associate Attorney will be responsible for researching, analyzing, and drafting memoranda about complex Healthcare and Life Sciences arrangements. The role involves evaluating existing or proposed business practices to identify regulatory compliance issues and providing recommendations for risk mitigation. Additionally, the candidate will draft and negotiate various transactional documents, prepare change of ownership filings, and communicate effectively with clients.

Job Details:

  • Research, analyze, and draft memoranda related to complex Healthcare and Life Sciences arrangements.
  • Evaluate existing or proposed business practices to identify regulatory compliance issues and recommend risk mitigation options.
  • Draft and negotiate transactional documents, including service, purchase, management, lease, licensing, employment, operating, and shareholder agreements.
  • Prepare change of ownership filings and other agency notifications related to Healthcare and Life Sciences licensees.
  • Communicate effectively with clients.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to Practice in NJ.
  • Licensing in NY or other states is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience practicing law.
  • Experience with healthcare laws and regulations, including Federal and state anti-kickback laws, Federal and state self-referral prohibitions, HIPAA and patient privacy provisions, False Claims Act, Healthcare Fraud Statute, and experience with state telehealth requirements and professional practice regulations is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Corporate practice of medicine prohibitions.

Education:

  • JD from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the bar in NJ.

Skills:

  • Superior research and writing skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong preference for a law school GPA of + and an "A" in Legal Writing.
