Job Overview:

The Patent Attorney will handle various patent projects, including drafting, prosecution, post-grant proceedings, opinions, and due diligence. This role requires a keen understanding of intellectual property law, particularly in the pharmaceutical sector.

Duties:

• Draft patent applications and responses to office actions.
• Prosecute patent applications before the USPTO.
• Conduct post-grant proceedings, including inter partes reviews and reexaminations.
• Provide legal opinions on patentability, validity, and infringement.
• Conduct due diligence reviews for patent portfolios.

Requirements:

• Junior Associate Attorney with 2-3 years of experience in patent law.
• Master’s degree, with a preference for a PhD, in Organic Chemistry or a related field.
• Alternatively, 2-3 years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution on small molecule pharmaceuticals.
• Admission to practice before the USPTO.
