A law firm in San Francisco, CA, is seeking Advice and Counsel Of Counsel responsible for defending and prosecuting lawsuits encompassing a wide spectrum of employment-related claims and agency charges. The role involves advising, counseling, and training employers on various employment and labor law matters and representing employers in court, arbitration, and before administrative agencies in employment disputes.

Duties:

  • Defend and litigate lawsuits involving various employment-related claims and agency charges.
  • Advise, counsel, and train employers on employment and labor law issues.
  • Represent employers in court, arbitration, before administrative agencies, and at mediation in employment matters, including class/collective actions and discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage-and-hour, contract, employment tort, and non-compete cases.
  • Preference for experience in Class Action/PAGA cases.
  • Supervise associate and paralegal work, delegate assignments, and provide feedback.
  • Stay abreast of current agency (state and federal) procedures.

Requirements:

  • JD from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
  • 9+ years of experience in employment litigation, with significant experience managing and running litigation cases in a first-chair capacity.
  • Current CA Bar admission in good standing.
  • In-depth understanding of current agency (state and federal) procedures.

Skills:
