Director of Contract Administration & Legal Analysis (JR 4173) – A Key Role in Fighting Homelessness in Los Angeles County

Summary:
PATH (People Assisting The Homeless) is seeking a Director of Contract Administration & Legal Analysis (JR 4173) to join their Quality Assurance & Compliance team in Los Angeles County. This is a full-time, exempt position with a salary range of $105, to $129, per year and generous benefits. The Director will oversee the contract administration division and utilize legal expertise to identify, track, and resolve risks and issues with PATH contracts. This is an opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of those experiencing homelessness and advocate for change while working with influential people who effect policy changes.

Responsibilities:

- Establish long-term contractual goals, strategies, policies, and plans
- Provide strategic support to lead the Contracts Administration Division
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes throughout the organization
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with funders and third parties
- Advise leadership on legal risks and potential ramifications of contracting issues
- Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations
- Stay informed of PATH’s business objectives and effectively manage workflow
- Settle disputes regarding contract interpretation and compliance
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Perform all other duties as assigned or required

Qualifications:

- Juris Doctor degree and active bar membership
- At least seven (7) years of experience in administrative and contract law
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively
- Creativity and initiative in problem-solving
- High ethical standards and professional boundaries

Preferred Qualifications:

- Prior legal experience in government and/or regulatory environment
- Experience in operational and contract matters
- Experience with social services or homeless services funding regulations
- Strong negotiation and drafting skills
- In-depth knowledge of relevant laws and regulations

Mandatory Requirements:

- Employment eligibility verification
- CPR/First Aid training
- Tuberculosis test
- Background screening
- Drug test

Driving Requirement:

- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver’s license
- Proof of insurance and ownership for personal vehicles used during work duties
- Ability to qualify for PATH's insurance coverage
