# Assistant Attorney General – Rockford The Organization of the Illinois Attorney General’s Office is looking for an Assistant Attorney General for its Rockford office to handle child support enforcement cases and other litigation in several counties in northern Illinois. The ideal candidate will have a proven interest in and enthusiasm for trial work, and experience handling a high volume of cases. ## Job Description The Assistant Attorney General will be responsible for representing the Department of Healthcare and Family Services and the Department of Human Services in the Child Support Enforcement Division. This position requires a strong understanding of child support enforcement, personal injury lien recoveries, estate liens and claims, excess assistance recoveries, administrative review actions, bankruptcy cases in federal court, and miscellaneous matters. The successful candidate must be able to manage several cases during each call, and conduct formal evidentiary hearings when settlement is not reached.
