A law firm in Newark is seeking a skilled Mid to Senior level Tax Associate Attorney with 5-8 years of experience. The candidate will primarily handle transactional tax matters and collaborate closely with securities and finance lawyers, as well as interact with investment bankers, financial advisors, and government officials nationwide.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel on transactional tax matters.
• Conduct legal research and analysis pertaining to tax issues.
• Draft and review tax-related documents, agreements, and contracts.
• Assist in the development and implementation of tax strategies for clients.
• Represent clients in tax-related negotiations and proceedings.

Requirements:

• Admission to practice law in the state.
• 5-8 years of relevant experience in tax law.
• Strong understanding of transactional tax matters.
• Familiarity with tax matters related to public finance or tax-exempt organizations preferred.

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar.
