A law firm is seeking a Mid-Senior Level Patent Litigation Associate Attorney to provide strategic counsel and representation to clients facing complex patent disputes. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in patent litigation, strong technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.

 

Duties:

  • Work closely with clients to navigate patent laws and judicial decisions, providing innovative solutions to protect intellectual property assets.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and correspondence for state and federal court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
  • Respond to complex discovery requests and prepare for depositions, trials, and Federal Circuit appeals.
  • Confer, negotiate, and communicate effectively with opposing counsel.
  • Supervise and train junior associates in litigation procedures and strategies.

 

Requirements:

  • 6-8 years of patent litigation experience, with a focus on drafting pleadings, responding to discovery requests, and conducting trials.
  • Strong technical background, preferably with an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or substantial experience in related disciplines.
  • USPTO admission is highly desired.
  • Patent trial experience is a plus.
  • Excellent academic credentials and demonstrated judgment.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

 

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is highly desired.

 

Skills:

  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents and conducting legal research.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
