As an Experienced Associate, you will have the opportunity to specialize in US individual tax services and work side-by-side with firm leadership to provide tax preparation, planning, and consulting services to Baker Tilly. You will also have the flexibility to work remotely and have a direct impact on the firm’s success. This is a permanent placement position, meaning it is a full-time role with benefits. The successful candidate for this role will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or law, or a related business degree, and will be qualified to sit for the CPA and/or Bar exam in the state they are being considered for. They will also have at least one year of experience providing federal tax compliance and consulting services in a public accounting firm. A CPA license is preferred for this position. Responsibilities: - Provide tax compliance and advisory services to partnerships - Participate in tax research projects and draft responses to IRS inquiries - Team with leaders on special projects related to flow through taxation - Develop recommendations and strategies for complex tax matters - Communicate and collaborate with specialty tax practices in areas such as state and local, high net worth, international, research and development, and credits and incentives - Learn and grow through on-the-job coaching, mentoring, and firm-wide learning and development programs - Utilize entrepreneurial skills to network and build relationships within the firm - Support the growth and development of team members through the firm's "Care and Teach" philosophy - Maintain work-life balance through friendships, social activities, and team outings Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in accounting or law, or a related business degree - Sufficient course work and credits to sit for the CPA and/or Bar exam in the state being considered - CPA license preferred - At least one year of experience providing federal tax compliance and consulting services in a public accounting firm - Strong time management, communication, interpersonal, relationship building, collaboration, and problem-solving skills - Strong leadership, project management, organizational, and analytical skills - Initiative and adaptability - Proficiency in Microsoft Suite - No immigration sponsorship available for this position Additional Information: The salary range for this role is $61,070 to $105,480 for a full-time 40-hour workweek. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and location. This role is also eligible for a discretionary bonus or commission.
