A law firm based in Chicago is seeking a Junior Labor and Employment Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of experience in employment-related and/or class action litigation. The ideal candidate should have a strong desire for trial work.

 

Duties:

  • Defend against employment discrimination, EEOC/DOL, and wage and hour claims, including class action lawsuits.
  • Counsel employers on federal and state employment law compliance.
  • Draft workplace policies and provide assistance to clients on various employment issues.
  • Engage in legal research, writing, and preparation of legal documents.
  • Assist in trial preparation and courtroom representation.

 

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in employment-related and/or class-action litigation.
  • The desire for trial work.
  • Admission to the Illinois Bar.

  • Experience counseling employers on federal and state employment law compliance.
  • Proven research and writing skills.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree.
