A law firm is seeking a Pre-litigation Attorney in Tyler, Texas. The attorney will be responsible for meeting with clients, conducting motion work, managing discovery, participating in depositions, and engaging in mediations. Additionally, the role involves developing and implementing strategies to maintain productive relationships with the support team and align with the firm's overarching goals and objectives.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct client meetings to discuss legal matters and provide guidance.
  • Handle motion work, including drafting pleadings and motions.
  • Manage the discovery process, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.
  • Participate in depositions and assist with witness preparation.
  • Engage in mediations and settlement negotiations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to foster positive relationships with the support team.
  • Ensure alignment of strategies with the firm's goals and objectives.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • State Bar certification in Texas.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Bilingual proficiency is advantageous.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA).

 

Certifications:

State Bar certification in Texas.

 

Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Bilingual proficiency is advantageous.

 

Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of personal injury experience or related legal experience.
