We are looking for a Counsel, Legal Privacy and Information Security to join our dynamic team in the Legal Department. This role will be responsible for providing legal counsel and expertise in the areas of data privacy and information security to support Comcast Cable's global product and consumer services organizations. The ideal candidate will have experience in . and international data privacy and information security laws, as well as strong familiarity with relevant legal and regulatory landscapes. As Counsel, Legal Privacy and Information Security, you will be responsible for:

- Handling privacy and data protection inquiries from various departments and providing legal counsel to ensure compliance.
- Evaluating Comcast programs and initiatives to ensure compliance with privacy and data protection requirements.
- Assisting in the creation and maintenance of policies and processes related to data processing.
- Reviewing and advising on Privacy Impact Assessments for new business initiatives.
- Staying up-to-date on relevant legislative developments and consulting with outside counsel when necessary.
- Reviewing and negotiating various types of agreements related to privacy and data protection.
- Conducting training to increase employee understanding of privacy policies and legal obligations.
- Educating others on privacy and data protection laws and regulations.
- Collaborating with privacy operations and compliance professionals outside of the legal department.
- Working with moderate supervision and no direct management responsibilities.
- Carrying out duties consistent with strategic plans and directives.
- Demonstrating sound judgment and discretion in all matters.
- Regular attendance and ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Other duties as assigned.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- At least 3-5 years of combined legal experience at a top law firm or in-house legal department.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
- CIPP certification preferred.
- Membership in good standing with PA state bar or ability to obtain in-house license.
- Knowledge of . and EU privacy and information security laws, regulations, and standards.
- Experience with transactional work, including reviewing and negotiating privacy and data protection contract terms.
- Familiarity with privacy impact assessments and applicable legal requirements.
- Strong academic credentials.
- Excellent drafting, negotiating, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues, management, and operations personnel.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivation and independence, with the ability to escalate matters when necessary.
- Ability to translate legal requirements into practical guidance and solutions.
- Ability to work independently with moderate supervision.
- Sound judgment, strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, and organization skills.
- Flexibility to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel.
