A law firm in San Francisco is seeking a Junior Data Privacy Associate Attorney with 1-2 years of experience in advising on privacy and cybersecurity issues. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with prominent privacy and security frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, NIST, or similar frameworks.

Duties:

• Provide legal advice and support on privacy and cybersecurity matters.
• Assist in conducting risk assessments and compliance audits.
• Draft and review privacy policies, terms of service, and other legal documents.
• Participate in corporate and technology transactions, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
• Assist in regulatory or governmental investigations related to data privacy.
• Support cyber incident response efforts.
• Assist in privacy litigation matters.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in CA or ability to waive in.
• 1-2 years of experience advising on privacy and cybersecurity issues.
• Familiarity with GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, NIST, or similar frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
