A law firm in Houston is seeking an Attorney with 3-7 years of defense litigation experience preferred. The successful candidate must be a good standing active member of the State Bar of Texas and possess excellent oral and written communication skills. They should demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Duties:

• Maintain regular communication with clients, building and establishing relationships.
• Advise clients on the status of cases, arbitrations, and proceedings.
• Respond to and prepare discovery requests.
• Prepare legal analysis memorandums, briefings, and reports.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Respond to and prepare motions and engage in motion practice.
• Appear before the Court on behalf of clients.
• Prepare for and attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, pretrial proceedings, and trials.
• Prepare post-trial motions and appeals, if required.

Requirements:

• 3-7 years of defense litigation experience preferred.
• Good standing active member of the State Bar of Texas.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work independently.
• Texas license is required.

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Good standing active member of the State Bar of Texas.
