A law firm is seeking a Senior Corporate Healthcare Regulatory Associate Attorney for its Chicago location. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing strategic guidance to healthcare clients on regulatory compliance and navigating complex legal issues. Work collaboratively with attorneys and clients to provide critical guidance on achieving client goals.

Advise dynamic and innovative healthcare clients on regulatory requirements, compliance counseling, government investigations, litigation, and strategic transactions.

 

Duties:

  • Provide guidance on compliance with key healthcare regulatory requirements, including Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, Medicare conditions of participation, and state regulations.
  • Handle day-to-day compliance counseling and defend against government investigations.
  • Participate in litigation and assist in structuring strategic transactions.
  • Conduct research, draft legal documents, and provide oral and written advice to clients.
  • Communicate regularly with clients and take ownership of projects.

 

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience focusing on regulatory matters in the healthcare sector.
  • Admission to the Bar in the state.
  • Outstanding academic credentials from an accredited law school.

 

Education & Certifications:

Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

 

Skills:

  • Familiarity with healthcare regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in HIPAA, healthcare privacy, data breach, Knox-Keene, digital health, telehealth, healthcare technology transactions, ACOs, and/or Medicare Direct Contracting Enterprise program is a plus.
  • Excellent oral communication, writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and communicate directly with clients.
