A law firm in Pittsfield, MA, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a diverse range of cases in various legal areas, including health and privacy law, employment discrimination, wrongful termination, intellectual property, real estate, construction, guardianship, probate, and general commercial disputes. Deposition and trial experience are preferred.

 

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload encompassing health and privacy law, employment discrimination, wrongful termination, intellectual property, real estate, construction, guardianship, probate, and general commercial disputes.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to provide strategic advice to clients.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediation, and court proceedings.
  • Collaborate with partners and legal support staff to ensure effective case management.
  • Stay abreast of legal developments and changes in relevant practice areas.

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in litigation, with a focus on the specified legal areas.
  • Deposition and trial experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Massachusetts State Bar.
