The role involves counseling clients on various employment matters, including drafting policies, handbooks, and employment agreements, and providing deal support, leave of absence, restrictive covenants, and investigations.

Duties:

• Provide advice and counseling to clients on employment law issues
• Draft policies, handbooks, employment agreements, and other employment-related documents
• Support clients in employment-related deals and negotiations
• Advise on leave of absence, restrictive covenants, and investigations
• Stay updated on federal and New York employment laws and regulations

Requirements:

• 6+ years of employment law experience
• Membership or pending membership in the New York State Bar
• Substantial advice and counseling experience
• Broad understanding of federal and New York employment laws and regulations
• Preferably, the majority experience in an employment practice group or employment-only law firm

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Membership or pending membership in the New York State Bar
