A law firm in Houston is seeking a highly qualified Tax Associate Attorney or Of Counsel to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be academically distinguished with excellent writing and analytical skills, possessing 5+ years of relevant experience in estate planning. This role involves active participation in building the existing practice, significant client contact, and the opportunity to move into a leadership role in the long term.

 

Duties:

  • Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients in matters related to tax planning, estate planning, and wealth preservation.
  • Draft and review legal documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning instruments.
  • Conduct legal research on tax laws, regulations, and precedent cases to support client cases and advise on complex legal issues.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure seamless delivery of legal services to clients.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, provide updates on case progress, and address any concerns or questions.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate or better in Law from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar in good standing.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in estate planning.
  • Strong understanding of tax laws, regulations, and estate planning principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional client service and maintaining client confidentiality.

 

Education:

Juris Doctorate or better in Law from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar in good standing.
