A law firm is seeking an Intellectual Property Associate Attorney for their Austin, TX office. The Intellectual Property Associate Attorney will primarily be responsible for assisting clients with intellectual property matters, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research on intellectual property issues
  • Draft and file patent applications, trademark applications, and copyright registrations
  • Advise clients on intellectual property strategies and protection
  • Assist with intellectual property litigation, including infringement disputes
  • Review and negotiate intellectual property agreements, such as licensing agreements and technology transfer agreements
  • Provide general legal advice on intellectual property matters to clients and colleagues

 

Requirements:

  • Member of the State Bar of California, admitted in good standing
  • Eligible to practice law in California, or eligibility subject to successful completion of the California Bar Examination
  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Should have experience practicing intellectual property law, preferably in a law firm setting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school

 

Certifications:

Membership in the State Bar of California
