A law firm in New York City is actively seeking an Associate Attorney with 1-6 years of experience specializing in insurance defense and product/premise defense. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing legal counsel and representation to clients in the areas of insurance defense, product liability, and premise liability.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis on cases related to insurance defense, product liability, and premise liability.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal documents for court proceedings.
• Represent clients in hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
• Collaborate with clients, experts, and colleagues to develop case strategies.
• Attend mediation and negotiate settlements when appropriate.
• Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients on insurance-related matters.
• Stay current on developments in insurance and liability laws.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to the New York State Bar.
• 1-6 years of experience in insurance defense and product/premise defense.
• Strong knowledge of insurance laws, regulations, and industry practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven negotiation and dispute-resolution skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently.
