Job Description:

- Provide tax advice to clients in the insurance industry, both domestically and internationally
- Utilize thorough knowledge of tax regulations and practices to assist clients with their tax obligations
- Act as a strategic consultant, addressing business analysis, working capital management, and profit sharing for partners
- Advise clients on pricing implications of goods and services between related parties
- Assist clients in understanding the tax implications of deals
- Help Financial Services clients navigate complex national and international tax environments
- Assist clients with tax structuring and addressing challenges in a constantly changing tax world
- Develop new skills and expand outside of comfort zone
- Resolve issues that prevent team from working effectively
- Coach team members and encourage personal development
- Analyze complex ideas and provide recommendations
- Use multiple sources of information to develop solutions and recommendations
- Address sub-standard work and ensure it meets firm's/client's expectations
- Use data and insights to support decision-making
- Develop a point of view on key global trends and their impact on clients
- Manage diverse viewpoints to reach consensus and create positive outcomes
- Simplify complex messages and summarize key points
- Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 4+ years of experience in tax, preferably in the insurance industry
- CPA or Member of the Bar certification
- Master's degree preferred

Preferred Skills:

- Thorough knowledge of tax issues affecting domestic and/or international insurance industries
- Familiarity with public accounting practices, internal domestic insurance tax departments, or internal foreign insurance departments
- Technical skills in FAS 109, FIN 48, tax provision preparation audit and review, and corporate and partnership tax compliance
- Experience identifying and addressing client needs, building and maintaining client relationships, and communicating value propositions
- Experience as a team leader, supervising teams and providing feedback
- Success as a tax technical business advisor, developing new relationships and selling new services with a "One Firm" service mindset
- Familiarity with a CRM system
- Knowledge of automation and digitization in a professional services environment
- Experience working with large, complex data sets and utilizing data visualization tools
- Understanding of alternative fee arrangements and pricing strategies
