A law firm in Roseland, NJ, is actively seeking an experienced Associate Attorney with a minimum of 5 years of family law experience. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in immediate client contact, assume responsibilities, and demonstrate a passion for family law. The position involves handling all aspects of divorce and related matters, including courtroom litigation, client collaboration, and ownership of cases from discovery to trial.

Duties:

• Conduct client meetings, recommend legal strategies, and advise clients on business and legal transactions.
• Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients, including pleadings and motions.
• Negotiate settlements of legal disputes and litigate family law cases in a courtroom environment.
• Delegate work to paralegals and legal assistants, monitoring their performance.
• Attend and appear in court or before government agencies in New Jersey.
• Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations.
• Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of family law.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
• Admission to the New Jersey Bar is required.
• 5+ years of experience in family law, with a focus on divorce and related matters.
• Experience researching complex family law matters.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with clients and navigate courtroom proceedings.
• Previous experience as a trial court law clerk is a plus but not necessary.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New Jersey Bar.
