Experience Information:

Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited institution.
5+ years of experience as an in-house attorney or law firm attorney.
Preferably with experience in the juvenile product or toys industry.
Accreditation to practice law in California.
Familiarity with intellectual property laws and potentially with consulting experience.
Fluent in English and Mandarin.

Responsibilities:

H1: Negotiation and Preparation of Legal Agreements for Juvenile Products and Toys

H2: Agreement Negotiation and Preparation

Develop and negotiate various agreements related to design, marketing, and selling of juvenile products and toys.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure agreements meet company standards and comply with industry regulations.
Prepare standard form agreements in both English and Chinese.
Oversee legal tasks performed by outside counsel, paralegals, and clerical staff.
Conduct research and provide background information for potential litigation.
Address inquiries regarding contracts, copyright, trademark, and patent laws as well as industry and association requirements.

H2: General Legal and Intellectual Property Support

Review and negotiate daily operation and finance related agreements.
Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations related to juvenile products and toys industry.
Supervise and provide guidance to subordinates in the legal and intellectual property department.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

H1: Required Qualifications

Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited institution.
5+ years of experience as an in-house attorney or law firm attorney.
Accreditation to practice law in California.
Familiarity with intellectual property laws.

H2: Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the juvenile product or toys industry.
Patent experience.
