A law firm in Milwaukee is seeking an experienced Energy Regulatory Associate Attorney with 4-5 years of energy transactional and/or regulatory litigation and compliance experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic record, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle regulatory and compliance matters before the Texas Public Utility Commission and other state energy regulatory commissions.

 

Job Details:

  • Handle regulatory and compliance matters before the Texas Public Utility Commission and other state energy regulatory commissions.
  • Manage matters involving the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) or other ISO/RTOs or organized power markets.
  • Advocate before state utility commissions and handle power transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, power sales, and related matters.
  • Utilize experience in regulatory and compliance matters related to energy.
  • Advocate effectively before state utility commissions.
  • Handle power transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and power sales.

 

Requirements:

Active Bar license in the state of Texas.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

 

Experience:

4-5 years of energy transactional and/or regulatory litigation and compliance experience preferred.

 

Skills:

  • Strong academic record.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a team.
  • Superior judgment in legal matters.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects effectively.
  • Articulate legal strategies and courses of action.
