Job Title: Senior Counsel, GE Corporate Holdings Experience: 12+ years of legal practice Level: Senior Level Summary: The Senior Counsel, GE Corporate Holdings is a key member of the legal team responsible for managing legacy liabilities within the GE Corporate Holdings group. This role provides legal advice and support to business leaders across the organization, both domestically and internationally. The ideal candidate for this position is a sophisticated and business-oriented corporate attorney with significant experience in managing legacy matters and legal entity governance. Roles and Responsibilities: As Senior Counsel, GE Corporate Holdings, the selected candidate will be responsible for: - Providing legal advice on legacy legal and business issues, including transactional work and regulatory support - Overseeing and supporting the Polish Bank legal team for non-litigation matters - Evaluating and advising on legal risks in actions, transactions, and agreements - Selecting and collaborating with external law firms and vendors, managing budgets and legal spend - Developing and executing strategies for successful resolution of legacy portfolio - Drafting and reviewing legal agreements and documents - Providing advice on dispositions, de-risking transactions, and dispute resolution - Determining appropriate allocation of responsibility for cross-business and "orphaned" liabilities/disputes - Assisting in preparation of status reports for board, audit committee, external auditors, and SEC reporting team - Providing advice on legal entity governance and simplification - Collaborating with records and information management team for legacy matters Qualifications: - JD or law degree from an accredited university - 12+ years of legal practice - Member in good standing with the State Bar - Ability to travel up to 10% of time domestic or international Desired Characteristics: - Strong oral and written communication skills - Strong interpersonal and leadership skills - Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems - Significant experience in managing legacy matters and legal entity governance - Prior in-house or corporate experience is a plus Restrictions and Requirements: - This role is restricted to . persons (., . citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act) due to access to export-controlled technology.
