Job Title: Senior Associate, International Tax Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in international, mergers and acquisitions, and/or federal tax planning Responsibilities: - Direct multinational enterprises on business decisions such as location, operations, entity choice, supply chain optimization, and capital mobilization, considering tax risk profile, global effective tax rate, and cash posture - Advise clients on tax planning decisions, anticipating and understanding potential short- and long-term consequences at a global level in the context of wider business objectives and considering tax risk profile, global effective tax rate, and cash posture - Structure tax aspects of private equity and strategic mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, dispositions, and IPOs, including drafting tax opinions, memos, structure decks, and Excel models - Prepare tax provision for financial statements, review compliance work product, and assist audit teams with reviewing tax implications of global operations and transactions - Advise on income tax treaty planning opportunities for cross-border investing and trading activities - Provide these services to alternative investment companies, assisting at all stages of the investment life cycle for both asset managers and portfolio companies operating globally Qualifications: - Minimum 3 years of experience in international, mergers and acquisitions, and/or federal tax planning - Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; Masters in Taxation, JD, and/or LLM (with a concentration in tax) preferred - Knowledge of international and domestic tax law provisions - Strong research and writing, Excel modeling, and oral communication skills - Ability to balance and lead multiple engagements, supervise and train new and experienced staff professionals, and provide excellent client service - Ability to develop and deepen client relationships and expand KPMG's footprint in local and global markets, working with . and . teams to provide the right services to clients Salary Information: KPMG complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges. Salary for this position ranges from $72,500 to $135,000 in California. Salary will be determined based on relevant factors such as skills, job responsibilities, prior experience, degrees and certifications, and market considerations.
