American Family Insurance Group is seeking a Senior Trial Staff Attorney with 5 to 15 years of litigation experience to join our team. This is a remote position, but the attorney must be located in either Oregon or Southern Washington and be available for in person appearances. As a Senior Trial Staff Attorney, you will be responsible for managing litigation related to the corporation and its insureds, in accordance with established guidelines and standards of good faith.

Salary Information:
- Position Compensation Range: $109, - $186, (may vary based on job level and geographic location)
- Pay Rate Type: Salary

Primary Accountabilities:
- Handle litigation for the corporation and/or its insureds within established guidelines and code of professional responsibility
- Evaluate cases and seek settlements as necessary
- Conduct discovery, motion practice, and necessary research
- Advocate for client's position in all forums and circumstances
- Stay current on state statutes and court decisions

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements:
- Experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service
- Experience preparing civil pleadings, motions, and discovery, and deposing witnesses
- Solid knowledge and understanding of Professional Responsibility, tort, contract, and insurance law

Licenses:
- Admission to the Oregon State Bar within a year of hiring
- Juris Doctor

Travel Requirements: Up to 50%

Physical Requirements: Work primarily involves sitting/standing
