A law firm in Kingston, NY, seeks a dedicated Associate Attorney with at least 2 years of legal experience to contribute to its wage and hour litigation practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in all aspects of civil litigation related to wage theft, including client interviews, depositions, motion practice, trials, appeals, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Duties:

• Assist in various aspects of civil litigation related to wage theft.
• Interview clients and potential witnesses to gather relevant information.
• Take and defend depositions during legal proceedings.
• Draft pleadings, discovery demands, and responses.
• Review and analyze discovery responses and production.
• Calendar litigation timelines and manage logistics.
• Engage in motion practice, federal court trials, arbitration, and appeals.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Collaborate with paralegals and data scientists on data discovery and damage models.

Requirements:

• Attorney with a minimum of 2 years of legal experience.
• Deep commitment to addressing wage and hour violations.
• Strong research skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Exceptional ability to navigate complex substantive law and litigation procedures.
• Superior interpersonal skills.

Preferred:

• Experience before law school or in a legal career.
• Spanish fluency or proficiency in another language.
