A law firm in New York, NY, is seeking a Litigation Product Liability Associate Attorney.

Job Overview:

The Litigation Product Liability Associate Attorney will play a pivotal role in trial preparation, research, drafting, and legal proceedings. They will handle a diverse range of responsibilities related to product liability cases, demonstrating exceptional analytical, writing, and communication skills.

Duties:

• Engage in all facets of trial preparation, including strategy formulation, discovery, record analysis, client interviews, and witness preparation
• Conduct comprehensive research on legal issues, individuals, businesses, and worksites
• Draft briefs, memos, and client communications
• Attend depositions, hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedings
• Travel nationwide for legal proceedings, client meetings, and other occasions up to 20% of the time, sometimes on short notice

Requirements:

• Active license and good standing with the New York State Bar
• 3-8 years of experience in defense litigation, preferably involving product liability or toxic exposures
• Additional bar admissions are a plus

Education & Certifications:

Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school

Skills:

• Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments and prioritize efficiently
• High degree of independence and initiative, coupled with the ability to work seamlessly within a team-oriented setting
