A law firm in New York City, NY, is seeking a Patent Litigation Associate Attorney with a strong technical or scientific background. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of patent litigation experience, an active State Bar membership, and superior writing skills. Preference will be given to candidates with advanced degrees in life sciences or technical backgrounds related to electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, or closely related fields. The successful candidate will excel in conducting complex legal analysis, enjoy diverse client interactions, and thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Duties:

• Conduct comprehensive and detailed analysis of patent litigation cases.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Provide legal research and analysis to support case strategy and client needs.
• Collaborate with a diverse group of clients, attorneys, and staff to ensure effective case management.
• Participate in all phases of litigation, from case assessment to trial preparation.
• Represent clients in court proceedings and settlement negotiations.

Requirements:

• 3-4 years of patent litigation experience.
• Active membership in the State Bar and compliance with CLE (Continuing Legal Education) requirements.
• Strong technical or scientific background.
• For life sciences, there is a preference for candidates with advanced degrees.
• For technical backgrounds, there is a preference for electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, or closely related fields.
• Superior writing skills and excellent academic credentials.
• Ability to conduct complex and detailed legal analysis.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
