A law firm is seeking a Pre-litigation Attorney in Austin, Texas. The attorney will be responsible for meeting with clients, conducting motion work, managing discovery, handling depositions, and participating in mediations. Additionally, the candidate will develop and implement strategies to foster productive relationships with the support team while aligning with the company's goals and objectives.

 

Duties:

  • Meet with clients to discuss legal matters and provide guidance.
  • Perform motion work, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Manage the discovery process, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.
  • Conduct and defend depositions.
  • Participate in mediations to negotiate settlements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to build positive relationships with the support team.
  • Ensure alignment of strategies with the company's overarching goals and objectives.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • State Bar certification in Texas.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of personal injury experience or related legal experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Bilingual proficiency is a plus.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA).

 

Certifications:

State Bar certification in Texas.

 

Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
