A law firm in Murray Hill is seeking a Mid-Level Employment Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience. The candidate will work as part of a team handling litigation matters from start to finish, including responding to pleadings, managing discovery, taking depositions, arguing motions, and participating in mediation. Additionally, they will provide day-to-day advice and counseling to clients and have opportunities to work directly with clients.

 

Duties:

  • Handle employment litigation matters from inception to resolution.
  • Respond to pleadings, including drafting motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Manage discovery process, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.
  • Take and defend depositions of parties and witnesses.
  • Argue motions and participate in mediations and settlement negotiations.
  • Provide day-to-day advice and counseling to clients on employment law matters.
  • Work directly with clients to address their legal needs and concerns.
  • Build and maintain client relationships.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members on various projects.

 

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in employment litigation.
  • Admission to the New Jersey Bar is required; New York admission is preferred.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Strong writing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
  • Desire to build a book of business and provide excellent client service.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New Jersey Bar (required) and New York Bar (preferred).
