The ideal candidate will have 6-15 years of solid experience in handling a broad range of business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, sales and purchases of real estate and business operations, real and personal property-based financing, business formations, and general corporate work.

Job Overview:

The Mid-level Business Transactional Attorney will be responsible for providing legal counsel and transactional support to clients in a variety of business-related matters, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions, and general corporate work. The candidate will be expected to leverage their experience and expertise to contribute to the growth and success of the firm.

Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and representation to clients in business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions, and general corporate matters.
  • Draft and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements related to business transactions.
  • Conduct due diligence and research to support client transactions.
  • Assist clients in business formations, including entity selection and structuring.
  • Offer guidance in real and personal property-based financing, IP, tax, securities, land use, and environmental law matters when necessary.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships by delivering high-quality legal services.
  • Actively engage in business development and practice development initiatives.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to growing and maintaining a book of business.

Requirements:

  • 6-15 years of relevant legal experience in business transactions.
  • Strong academic credentials from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Oregon State Bar, or eligibility to obtain admission.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience in IP, tax, securities, land use, and/or environmental law is beneficial.
  • A portable book of business is a plus.
  • Energetic and committed to business development and client service.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Oregon State Bar, or eligibility to obtain admission.

Skills:

  • Legal research and due diligence.
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documents.
  • Business and transactional law expertise.
  • Client relationship management.
