Job Overview:

The Securities Litigation Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling various aspects of securities litigation cases, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs, conducting discovery, assisting with witness preparation and examination, and ensuring compliance with civil rules of procedure and rules of evidence.

Duties:

  • Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs related to securities litigation cases.
  • Conduct discovery, including drafting and document review/analysis, particularly ESI (Electronically Stored Information).
  • Assist with witness preparation and examination.
  • Ensure compliance with civil rules of procedure and rules of evidence.
  • Perform legal research as needed.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff on case strategy and execution.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in commercial litigation, specifically securities litigation, at a law firm.
  • Familiarity with civil rules of procedure and rules of evidence.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Record of strong academic performance in law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.

Preferred:

  • Federal court experience.
  • Experience serving as "second-chair" at hearings/trials.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar in Pennsylvania (or willingness to obtain admission).

Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
