A law firm located in Boca Raton is seeking an Associate Attorney to provide legal support in foreclosure actions. The ideal candidate will possess a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and membership in the Connecticut State Bar (New York preferred). They will be responsible for handling a caseload, including legal analysis, strategy recommendations, and drafting pleadings. Superior time management, negotiation, and communication skills are essential for success in this role. Familiarity with foreclosure law, loan documents, and court processes in Connecticut is required. Basic principles of Quality Assurance/Control are strongly preferred.

 

Duties:

  • Provide status updates, legal analysis, and strategy recommendations to clients.
  • Manage a caseload from assignment to conclusion under the supervision of Senior Attorneys.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of conditions precedent to filing actions, including loan documents and financials.
  • Draft and review pleadings and correspondence related to foreclosure actions.
  • Ensure all internal systems are updated with findings, documentation, and recommendations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions and tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections requirements.
  • Utilize LPS/BKFS, Vendorscape, Tempo systems as necessary.
  • Demonstrate strong negotiation skills in legal proceedings.
  • Effectively manage time and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Exhibit advanced written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Utilize intermediate to advanced-level computer and office skills.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Membership in the Connecticut State Bar (New York preferred).
  • Familiarity with Connecticut foreclosure law, documents, procedures, and court processes.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Superior time management abilities.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities.
