Job Overview:

  • Handle cases from inception through trial
  • Provide telephone advice to injured legal plan members
  • Meet with clients for intakes
  • Gather evidence and conduct investigations
  • Maintain frequent client contact
  • Prepare cases for pre-litigation settlement
  • Conduct legal analysis and develop winning strategies
  • Negotiate with adjusters and defense attorneys
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents
  • Argue motions and appear for court conferences
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Handle mediations, arbitrations, jury selections, and trials
  • Utilize the firm's case management system

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor Degree plus NYS Bar admission
  • 5+ years of experience as a practicing personal injury attorney
  • Federal Bar admission and experience is a plus
  • Client-focused with strong customer service orientation
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Detail-oriented, energetic, motivated, and dependable
  • Ability to build and foster client relationships
  • Excellent telephone, oral, and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
