Job Overview:

The Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling various aspects of intellectual property litigation cases, with a focus on soft IP including trade secrets. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, exceptional research and analysis abilities, and persuasive writing capabilities.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in intellectual property litigation matters, including trade secrets and other soft IP disputes.
  • Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and prepare pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Assist with all aspects of the litigation process, including discovery, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior associates on case strategy and client management.
  • Provide legal counsel to clients on intellectual property issues and strategies.

Requirements:

  • 1-4 years of experience in intellectual property litigation, with a focus on soft IP including trade secrets.
  • Bachelor's degree and/or an advanced degree in electrical engineering or computer science preferred.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Illinois, California, New York, or District of Columbia Bar, active and in good standing.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Track record of insightful research and analysis.
  • Persuasive writing abilities.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Illinois, California, New York, or District of Columbia Bar, active and in good standing.
  • Bachelor's degree and/or an advanced degree in electrical engineering or computer science preferred.
