Position Summary

- Strategic and creative federal tax professional with experience serving real estate owners and operators
- Strong understanding of Subchapter K, partnership allocation methodologies, and Real Estate Investment Trust qualification rules

Deloitte Tax Senior Managers in Real Estate Services Tax practice provide compliance and consulting services to Real Estate Investment Trusts, Real Estate Private Equity Funds, and real estate joint ventures and operating partnerships. As a Tax Senior Manager, you will work directly with clients, manage the tax engagement team, have access to an elite group of specialists, and use state-of-the-art technology to serve clients in the real estate industry.

What You’ll Do

- Assist clients with life events for partnerships, inside and outside basis computations, and Schedule K-1 processing
- Use proprietary technologies to streamline tax compliance processes and achieve worldwide compliance
- Maintain and develop strong client relationships in the real estate industry
- Advise clients on various tax issues, such as REIT Qualification and Tax Reform impact
- Oversee complex federal tax compliance and consulting projects using state-of-the-art technology and data analytics
- Manage engagement workflow, team resources, and billing
- Mentor and develop junior staff, providing leadership and career guidance

Qualifications

Required

- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- 8+ years of total corporate or international tax experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Licensed CPA, Attorney, or Enrolled Agent
- Certifications: CFA or CFP

Preferred

- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, or LLM
- Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience
- Experience with US clients and a basic understanding of US tax
- Solid understanding of real estate tax technical and transaction skills
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated research skills
- Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple priorities
- Demonstrated management experience

Salary Information

- Wage range: $119,490 to $272,090
- Compensation decisions are dependent on factors such as skill sets, experience, and training
- Eligible for discretionary annual incentive program
