Job Description:
As the Senior Counsel, Legal Strategy, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and executing key legal strategies to advance company priorities. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and business partners to analyze and assess complex legal challenges and develop strategies to navigate and shape the external environment. This role will primarily focus on emerging challenges in the . pricing, reimbursement, and access ecosystem, with potential to expand to a global focus.

Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and prioritize key areas of complex legal challenges impacting company priorities
- Analyze and assess challenges to develop strategies that advance company objectives
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to drive cross-functional and innovative solutions
- Develop lines of communication with subject matter experts and key business counterparts to inform strategic initiatives
- Strengthen and improve agility, prioritization, and innovative thinking within the AbbVie Legal organization and key cross-functional partners

Qualifications:
- Law degree from an ABA accredited law school and in good standing with the state bar of the jurisdiction in which your office will be located
- 7+ years of experience in the life sciences and/or pharmaceutical industry
- Strong organizational, analytical, communication, leadership, and influence skills
- Interest in solving complex and dynamic problems and shaping the external environment
- Comfortable taking on high-visibility and high-impact projects with exposure to senior leaders
- Adept at coordinating and facilitating cross-functional efforts and gaining alignment from stakeholders
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure and matrixed environments
- Experience in adapting to new subject matters and arenas quickly and effectively

Additional Information:
- Travel: Yes, 10% of the Time
- Salary: $151,500 - $288,000

Note: This range is based on the job grade for this position and may be modified in the future. The individual compensation within this range will depend on factors such as geographic location. We also offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees. This job is eligible to participate in our short-term and long-term incentive programs.
