PwC is seeking a Tax Manager for their Financial Markets Business Advisory services. This role will provide the opportunity to work on a variety of audit, regulatory, valuation, and financial analyses services to design solutions that address complex accounting and financial reporting challenges for clients.

This position requires a purpose-led and values-driven leader at every level, as outlined in the PwC Professional global leadership development framework. The ideal candidate will be able to develop new skills, resolve issues, coach others, and analyze complex ideas to build meaningful recommendations. They will also be expected to uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.

As a manager, this individual will work with a team of specialists with extensive industry and tax experience. They will be responsible for helping clients solve their US and global documentation, information reporting, and withholding tax issues. This will involve using state-of-the-art digital tools and technology to efficiently produce client deliverables.

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience, as well as certification as a CPA, Enrolled Agent, or Active Member of the Bar. Preferred fields of study include Management Information Systems & Accounting, Accounting & Finance, or Accounting. Additional educational preferences include a ., . in Taxation, or a Master's in Taxation (MST) from an accredited college or university.

The Tax Manager will be part of PwC's Global Information Reporting (GIR) practice, which helps clients comply with international rules for information reporting and withholding tax requirements. This includes a focus on creating tax transparency and cross-border sharing of information. The tax practice also assists clients with complex information reporting and withholding rules under various regimes, such as the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) and the Common Reporting Standard (CRS).

The successful candidate will have extensive abilities and a proven record of success in providing guidance to clients on compliance with global tax information reporting rules, conducting research on complex tax issues, and applying tax technical skills. They will also lead staff in preparing and filing information returns, develop innovative technology solutions to increase efficiency, and assist in the development of educational materials for information reporting and withholding requirements.

Other responsibilities include training and managing local staff, understanding and staying current with applicable US tax rules, possessing strong communication and problem-solving skills, and actively participating in client discussions and meetings. The Tax Manager must also be willing to travel in a post-COVID world.
