Title: Workers' Compensation Counsel
Location: San Jose, CA (Remote)
Type: Full-time
Salary Range: $100, - $165,
Experience: 3+ years of prior litigation practice or prior legal experience
Education: Juris Doctorate; graduate of an accredited law school

Responsibilities:

- Handle a caseload of predominantly low to moderate complexity.
- Develop and apply effective trial skills and techniques.
- Conduct legal research and demonstrate strong legal writing and presentation skills.
- Supervise research projects and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other documents.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients.
- Utilize technology and automation effectively.
- Travel as required.
- Provide advice and training to Claim partners and clients.

Requirements:

- 3+ years of prior litigation practice or prior legal experience.
- Insurance litigation work exposure desirable.
- Track record of trial skills and techniques.
- Ability to articulate position clearly and succinctly.
- Strong research and negotiation skills.
- Active license in good standing to practice law in the state(s) in which representation is required.
