A law firm in Houston, TX is seeking a Briefing Personal Injury Attorney with 1-3 years of litigation experience. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated familiarity with the Texas and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, strong organizational skills, and excellent written communication skills. This position will involve working on all stages of a personal injury case, from discovery through trial and appeal.

 

Duties:

  • Work on all stages of personal injury cases, including discovery, motions practice, trial preparation, and appeals.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on Texas and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
  • Assist with trial preparation, including witness preparation and evidence gathering.
  • Represent clients in court hearings and mediations.
  • Maintain communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish for writing, reading, and speaking.

 

Requirements:

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Texas State Bar.
  • 1-3 years of litigation experience.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with Texas and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
  • Law review experience is preferred.
  • Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Experience in personal injury practice.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Texas State Bar.
