A law firm in Houston, TX, is seeking a highly skilled Non-Judicial Foreclosure Associate Attorney to manage cases primarily focused on residential real estate litigation, mortgage, and transactional matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for protecting clients' interests in litigation proceedings and general collection cases, while also contributing to marketing initiatives, business development, and knowledge sharing within the firm.

 

Duties:

  • Manage cases emphasizing residential real estate litigation, mortgage, and transactional matters
  • Attend mediations, trials, hearings, and other legal proceedings
  • Conduct legal research and writing, including drafting pleadings, briefs, affidavits, and discovery documents
  • Participate in marketing initiatives and business development efforts
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external clients
  • Assist with other duties and special projects as needed

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
  • Membership in the Texas state Bar with all necessary licensing and continuing legal education requirements maintained
  • Minimum of five years of litigation/courtroom experience (foreclosure experience a plus)
  • Subject matter expertise in foreclosure and real estate law
  • Proficiency in legal research tools such as Fastcase or Westlaw
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of rules of evidence, civil procedure, and court processes
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and cases simultaneously
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Commitment to firm’s vision, mission, and core values
  • Ability to work well in a team and collaborate effectively with colleagues
