Job Overview: A law firm seeks a highly motivated and experienced Land Use Real Estate Associate Attorney with at least 5 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter capable of handling development applications, representing developers before planning and zoning boards, and possessing strong communication skills to manage client needs.

Job Details:

  • Manage development applications from inception to completion, addressing resolution compliance and post-approval issues.
  • Serve as the first chair in representing developers before planning boards and zoning boards.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills to effectively manage client needs and expectations.
  • Possess a strong understanding of the Municipal Land Use Law and its intricacies.
  • Negotiate redevelopment agreements and draft easements as needed.
  • New Jersey Bar admission is required.
  • Experience and Bar admission in New York or other jurisdictions is a plus.
  • Exhibit superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments contemporaneously.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in land use and real estate law.
  • Admission to the New Jersey Bar is mandatory.
  • Admission to the New York Bar or other jurisdictions is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of the Municipal Land Use Law.
  • Proven experience in negotiating redevelopment agreements and drafting easements.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New Jersey Bar.
  • Admission to the New York Bar or other jurisdictions (preferred).

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
