The ideal candidate will have experience managing a multi-matter docket and handling class action defense, complex commercial litigation, securities, and consumer litigation matters. A strong academic background from nationally recognized schools is required, and a previous federal clerkship is preferred. Candidates must be licensed to practice in Illinois.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various litigation matters.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Manage a multi-matter docket and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Assist in all stages of litigation, including discovery, trial preparation, and appellate proceedings.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and settlement negotiations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic advice and counsel to clients on litigation matters.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff on case strategy and execution.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.

 

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of litigation experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Superior writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Experience with class action defense, complex commercial litigation, securities, and consumer litigation preferred.
  • Strong academic background from nationally recognized schools.
  • Previous federal clerkship is a plus.
  • Licensed to practice law in Illinois.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a nationally recognized law school.
  • Admission to the Illinois State Bar.
