A law firm in Redwood City, CA, is seeking a highly qualified Antitrust Associate Attorney with expertise in transaction analysis for competition issues and merger control filing requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the Hart-Scott-Rodino (“HSR”) Act and its implementing Rules, along with experience in advocacy before the DOJ and FTC, particularly in technology, life sciences, and private equity transactions.

Duties:

• Analyze transactions for competition issues and merger control filing requirements.
• Demonstrate proficiency in the Hart-Scott-Rodino (“HSR”) Act and its implementing Rules, including substantive analysis, procedural issues, and filing logistics.
• Engage in advocacy before the DOJ and FTC in the realm of antitrust matters.
• Handle antitrust aspects of technology, life sciences, and private equity transactions.

Requirements:

• Substantial experience in antitrust law and a strong track record of success.
• Outstanding academic credentials and comparable law firm experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Admittance to the California Bar or eligibility to obtain admission promptly.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• California Bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly.

Skills:

• Proficient in analyzing transactions for competition issues.
• In-depth knowledge of the Hart-Scott-Rodino (“HSR”) Act and implementing Rules.
• Strong advocacy skills before the DOJ and FTC.
