Job Overview:

The Associate Attorney will be responsible for assisting in various legal matters, primarily focusing on litigation. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented and organized and have strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, staff, and attorneys.

Duties:

  • Drafting pleadings, motions, and legal documents
  • Facilitating discovery process
  • Conducting legal research
  • Corresponding with clients and opposing counsel
  • Managing court docket and short calendar
  • Trial preparation
  • Attending court hearings and arguments

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in legal practice
  • Ability to manage multiple cases throughout all phases of litigation and trial
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Experience with Needles/NEOS Case Management System (preferred)
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the Connecticut State Bar (required)
  • Additional certifications or licenses (preferred)
