A law firm seeks a Professional Liability Associate Attorney for their Hackensack, NJ, office.

Job Overview:

The Professional Liability Associate Attorney will primarily handle professional liability cases (non-medical) and related litigation matters. The ideal candidate should possess strong research and writing skills, with experience in discovery processes and motion practice. Admission to the NJ Bar is required.

Duties:

• Handle professional liability cases, including non-medical malpractice matters
• Conduct legal research and analysis on various issues related to cases
• Draft and prepare legal documents, including discovery requests, responses, and motions
• Review documents and prepare discovery responses for production
• Argue dispositive and non-dispositive motions as needed
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts effectively and professionally
• Assist senior attorneys in case management and trial preparation
• Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends

Requirements:

• 2 years of litigation experience, preferably with a focus on professional liability
• Strong research and writing skills
• Experience with discovery processes, including document review and preparation of responses
• Admission to the NJ Bar

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the New Jersey State Bar

• Proficiency in legal research tools and software
• Experience with case management software is a plus
