Organization Law Student Volunteer Program The Organization Law Student Volunteer Program provides an excellent opportunity for law students to gain valuable experience in the legal field. The program offers a wide range of research and writing opportunities and the chance to observe proceedings in the district and magistrate courts. Student interns will work with a number of different AUSAs on both criminal and civil matters. Qualifications: Applicants must be second- or third-year law students and must be a . citizen. Law school graduates are not eligible for intern positions. Applicants must be certified by their law school as possessing the ability, training and character to participate in activities permitted by the Wisconsin Supreme Court Rules for the Practical Training of Law Students. Salary: Possible work-study credit. We will work with law schools to ensure that interns earn appropriate academic credit where available. Some law schools offer public interest/public sector stipends and we will work with the student and/or school to facilitate.
