Experience and Education

New Pig Corporation, a leading industrial leak and spill management company, is seeking a full-time Business Attorney to join our in-house legal team. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a private, multi-entity, family-owned business that has a global reach and a strong reputation for innovation and expertise in the industry. As a Business Attorney, you will play a crucial role in providing legal support and guidance to the company's leadership and executive officers.

As a Business Attorney at New Pig, you will have the opportunity to work closely with executive management to understand corporate objectives and provide legal advice. You will also have the chance to engage with external counsel and coordinate efforts in various areas of law, including corporate law, contract law, intellectual property, real estate law, and employment law. Your responsibilities will also include reviewing legal agreements, assisting with mergers and acquisitions, and ensuring contract compliance.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual with a strong background in business law. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctorate degree, a successful passing of the bar exam, and an active license from the State Bar Association. A minimum of 5 years of experience in business law, preferably in a corporate setting, is also required. Prior experience with mergers and acquisitions is a plus.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing legal support and advice to the leadership of the company and executive officers. Your responsibilities will include coordinating with executive management to understand corporate objectives, engaging with external counsel, reviewing legal agreements, and assisting with mergers and acquisitions. You will also be responsible for ensuring contract compliance, organizing and filing legal documents, and utilizing technology and contract management software.

As a Business Attorney, you must have strong operational and financial acumen, as well as a broad understanding of fundamental business principles. You must also have excellent problem-solving skills and an impeccable attention to detail. The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines is crucial for this role. Knowledge of and experience with ERP systems and process tools is also preferred.
